Harmonic Gearbox CSF-58-120-2UH

Harmonic Drive CSF‑58‑120‑2UH for Hamamatsu Nano cut‑off workbenchThe internal transmission component includes a wave generator which is oval‑shaped and equipped with a flexible rolling bearing on its outer ring. The number of external teeth of the flexspline is less than that of internal teeth of the circular spline. When the wave generator rotates, the external teeth of the flexspline corresponding to the major axis direction precisely mesh into the internal teeth of the circular spline.

Product Description

Whether the gear shaper cutter withdraws from the workpiece, the relief direction is usually the same as the radial feed direction. The reasoning is as follows:

(1) On gear shapers with workpiece table relief, equipped with Harmonic Drive CSF‑58‑120‑2UH for Hamamatsu relief table:When the shaper cutter feeds radially away from the center of the gear blank, the table shall perform relief in the same direction as the radial feed.

(2) On gear shapers with tool slide relief, equipped with Harmonic Drive CSF‑58‑120‑2UH for Hamamatsu relief table:When the table feeds radially away from the center of the shaper cutter, the tool slide shall also perform relief in the same direction as the feed.

An exception exists on gear shapers where the table only performs rotary motion. When the column (together with the tool slide and shaper cutter) feeds radially away from the center of the table, the shaper cutter inside the tool slide shall perform relief toward the center of the table. In this case, the relief direction is opposite to the radial feed direction.

To change the relief direction, the large‑radius and small‑radius arcs of the relief cam are usually swapped. This changes the relief direction from that for external gear cutting to that for internal gear cutting.

Up to this point, the setup of the gear shaper is basically completed.Subsequent steps will be to prepare for startup and begin gear shaping.

It should be noted that during the return stroke of the shaper cutter, both the cutter and the workpiece rotate continuously with a large circular feed.If the relief amount is insufficient so that the cutter cannot move far enough away from the workpiece, tool rubbing will inevitably occur. This causes premature wear of the cutter and scoring of the workpiece tooth flanks, especially when shaping internal gears. To avoid tool rubbing during the return stroke, in addition to increasing the relief amount, oblique relief should be adopted.
